If you're heading to St Andrews and looking for a rock 'n' roll dining experience, Ziggys Menu at 6 Murray Place is your backstage pass to American-style indulgence with a Scottish twist.

Ziggys isn’t your typical diner - it’s a retro-themed eatery decked out in memorabilia, neon lights, and nods to music legends. But what makes it truly memorable is its well-curated, comfort food-focused menu. On my visit, I dove straight into the BBQ Pulled Pork Burger, which was generously portioned, smoky, and tender. It came stacked high with coleslaw and perfectly crisp fries - a dish that easily competes with American BBQ joints.

What sets the Ziggys Menu apart is its consistency and variety. The 8oz Sirloin Steak, served on a sizzling platter, was cooked precisely to order and offered fantastic flavour. For vegetarians, the Sweet Potato & Chickpea Burger is a standout-spiced well and hearty. There’s also a kids' menu that doesn’t just feel like an afterthought-mini burgers and chicken goujons are freshly made and portioned appropriately.

Ziggys also scores points for its milkshakes. I had the Reese’s Peanut Butter Shake, and it was thick, rich, and absolutely indulgent-a dessert in itself. The dessert section of the menu is no slouch either, featuring a gooey Chocolate Fudge Cake and traditional Sticky Toffee Pudding, both served with ice cream.

Beyond the food, the service is casual but friendly, ideal for groups, students, and families. Prices are reasonable, with mains generally ranging from £10-£18. While it’s not fine dining, Ziggys delivers on flavour, fun, and nostalgia. If you’re after hearty American-style meals in a vibrant setting, Ziggys Menu hits the right notes every time.
